No, Elvis isn't dead. He just went home.
I saw Elvis near the end of June and subsequently decided to check out the 1968 Comeback Special and Elvis: One Night With You from the library.
It took me until last week to finally have the time to sit down and watch them. Elvis died before I was born so my only way to watch anything with him is through existing footage. Plus, it’s the Three Weeks in the Jewish calendar so I need to at least write about it to make listening to music okay. It’s a mourning period because of the Temple’s destruction and so we’re not allowed to listen to music or have any joy in our lives between 17 Tammuz and Tisha B’Av.
